fanlisting history

I have been a fan of t.A.T.u. since about 2002 or 2003 when I saw them on MTV with their music video for "All the Things She Said". I was intrigued by the fact they were Russian and were singing in English, so I did some research and discovered they also had a Russian album. I listened to a few songs off of their album, 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane, and was instantly hooked. I soon bought the album, and was addicted to every song on the CD. I soon knew all the words, and was finding myself watching the interactive content the CD provided. I couldn't get enough of this duo, and I had to have more.

After hearing "Ya Soshla S Uma" and "Nas Ne Dagoniat", the only two Russian songs on their English CD, I had to have more of this group's music. I soon found the album, 200 po Vstrechnoi, and quickly became addicted to the Russian versions of the English songs I loved. This was probably late 2003, early 2004. I had just started making fanlistings in March of 2003, and I believe there already was one for t.A.T.u. at TFL.org, so I didn't make one of my own.

I made a steady stream of fanlistings for the next few years, when suddenly I was approved for the individual fanlistings for Yulia and Lena in the Musicians: Female category. I decided I was going to make the fanlistings joint, as in one members list for two fanlistings, and quickly made the site. I put it under the folder "/tatu" on my domain and submitted a finished form. However, I quickly changed this. Why? What if I got approved for the t.A.T.u. fanlisting? I would have no where to put it! So, I changed the folder to "/tatugirls" and submitted a moved form. That way, if ever by fluke chance I was approved for the t.A.T.u. fanlisting, it would have a nice cozy home ready for it at Overstuffed-Closet.net.

Fast forward to October of 2006. The fanlisting for t.A.T.u. was removed from TFL, and I instantly applied. However, the end of the month came around, and I was rejected. This made me sad, but I carried on as usual. When October 25th came around, I began to have a little glimmer of suprise in the back of my mind: the fanlisting was on the "Troubles" list and due for removal for being overdue. I waited, and waited, and waited, and the fanlisting was finally removed and open for applications again. I applied again, and this time, on December 3rd, 2006, I was approved for my favorite band, t.A.T.u.!

I will never forget opening my Inbox and seeing that approval. It was a very happy day for me! So thank you to the staffer(s) who approved me! The rest is fanlisting history, and I hope I own this fanlisting for a long time to come!
